today was good for me jen...mr. adkins finally responded to my calls. says to send him pics. i am excited. i am not sure about fabrics. but plan to just plow into it. thanks!
I started my day with coffee with some friends. Volunteering in my oldest classroom. Then I was home alone for a half hour by myself..didn't know what to do with myself. So I just relished in the quiet! I was a good day here, too!
Fantastic! I had a great day at work and them made paella. Had dinner with my friend Catherine whose husband is in Iraq.
i had a good day. up to my elbows in the "small kid" routine. didn't bathe until 5pm and only because i had 6:30pm choir practice at church. my son is in the throws of potting training.....and all that entails. my daughter has been taking more and more steps. i think she is up to 8!
Now that is one great day! :)
Today I read a book called Mom There's A Man in the Kitchen And He's Wearing Your Robe, The Single Mother's Guide to Dating Well. When I got to the part where the author contends that "it's not a contradiction in terms to be both a feminist and a lady" I trashed it, feeling followers of the author's advice would soon be divorced again.
After I wrote it all down, I sounded kinda busy ;-)
I had a good day. I spent 3 hours at Michael's and Toys R Us looking for the perfect doll head for a commercial we're shooting. (Conclusion: Polly Pocket.) Then went out for a lovely indian buffet - ate too much but it was so good). After work, I picked up mommy from her 2nd chemo and she felt very good and happy. Then I came home and relaxed. And, I just finished eating a popsicle!
