parenthood

having children makes you no more a parent than having a piano makes you a pianist.
-michael levine

i talked to a friend today about what is going on in her life. the success (big time) she has had with her "line". she mentioned that she had not spent a lot of time with her little one. and that she seemed like she was always coming and going. i had a lot of sadness when she talked about it with me. i do not throw stones... and she is a good mom... it just got me thinking about all of it. all of what i have been given... and what kind of job i am doing at it.

You are a good parent by stopping to question yourself every now and again. As mothers, just about everything we do IS for our children...working to provide... volunteer to set an example... "down time" with our friends to refresh and be a better parent!

Gorgeous pic of the girls. And good blog post. It does make you stop and think about priorities. We all need that reminder every once in a while.

i think you do a good job balancing... i also think there are things you have vowed not to compromise on... you may not have gotten your "big time business break" yet, but you are doing it right... never sacrifice family for success.

that is why is changed my blog name. that is what i say in my blog description. it's my personal cross examination.

i love the picture. madison looks like you as a little girl from that side shot. very cute.
