Step by Step

... she walked out the door today with my mother in law.

key word.. walked..

:-)

we do not know much of anything.. but what i do know is that we are getting better not worse.

thank you to all who posted comments.. and to all that said a prayer.

we say "virus" so easily these days.. but they can be soo scary.

---

two days after sept 11th... she was approx. 13 mos. old and i looked back in the rear view mirror and her (my oldest) eyes were rolled back in her head and she was having a seizure. she was blue.. and she had stopped breathing. i pulled over and gave her mouth to mouth for what seemed like forever. she came too.. and later we found out it was a febrile seizure which had taken place because her temp. went up very fast.

out of the woodwork people came to us .. to me... i recieved a letter in the mail from a lady who had come "on the scene". on the side of the road. (i had actually pulled into a church parking lot ... our church at the time).. many months prior she was in a service.. the service where Madison (our oldest) had been baptised. she was responsible for creating the program for that particular baptism service.. and had remembered typing in Madison's name. she wrote Madison's name on the inside of her Bible that day.. and everytime she opened it she prayed for my daughter.

she came to the service.. not because she had a relative or "knew" someone.. she came because she wanted to put a face to the name of the little girl... our little girl...she had been praying for.

she never approached us.. or introduced herself to me that night. i didn't even realize she was again "at the scene" of Madison's seizure. infact.. i have never met her to this day..

but when i opened this note, and read the story i just told to you...i knew i was loved. that Madison was loved.. strangers reaching out...

---

much like many of you who wrote a quick note to me yesterday.

I am so glad she's better. You are right, we say "virus" so easily and Hubby did say viruses can be dangerous, ie, polio was a virus that affected the use of legs and, of course, many die from the flu each year.

Oh, that is so scary. My brother (who is now 24) has siezures. It is one of the scariest things I have ever witnessed. I am glad Madison is doing better. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.
